The Human is free to do or believe anything, as he|she treads upon the earth. So what’s with the elemental need that we have to construct a God while we dwell here? Have you thought about it, rather than just believing the story that was told to you by other Humans?
If God is us and we are God, as it is taught in the East, then why do we need a God to worship? If my eyes and body allow God within me to observe the world, then why do I need to find a God that I already am?
It is the Human need to burn sage, light fires, offer sacrifice, bow in submission, the pleading, the asking; the wanting to become One with the God that hides from us. And the most incredible part is that the Human is willing to take the word of others about who and what is God.
But who and what are you worshiping?
Maybe its the wanting that is what blinds us to the authentic presence of God? It blinds us because a longing arises for something other than what we already have contained within our very own being, animating us and giving us light and life.
When we look for God outside of ourselves, we the Human are chasing after idols and insulting the greatness and Holiness of the One who is already dwelling within us, but whom we’ve locked into a forgotten prison cell of neglect. Let God off the chain; he|she is being held by the same chain that holds us fast, because you are the one who has forged the binding within yourself. Break the chains of Maya and merge within the overflowing stream of love that emanates from God. The love of God waiting to flow within you and to bless you.
Why must the Human make everything so complicated? We’ve been over this many times; The longing for God flows past the One who is existent in you now. You are in affect saying to God, “You who dwell within me now, are not good enough and I am off to pursue the “true” God.” And you declare this to the very universe of All.
My Beloved Children, you can only find the “true God” when you look within yourselves.
Maybe we just need to remember who we are and by that remembering we will again perceive our Mother and Father. And when we remember the One, nothing else will have value to us and we will abide and linger in the presence of the One.
That’s not hard, is it?
Whey you make the decision to begin on your individual path to God, be well aware of the peril and difficulty but here is the thing; Its the struggle within that is what saves you. Contend with God; wrestle with him, I assure you he is ready for the struggle. And, and its OK to fail at this, the power is in the struggle itself.
Yes, you can have a God on a shelf, handed to you by a priest in a funny hat, if that’s all you’re longing for but as for me, I want the wonder and full presence of the One.
Would you buy a car without driving it first? Would it be enough to hear how other Humans describe the car and its functions before you bought it? Or course not, you would want to put your hands on the wheel, feel the power of the engine, to see its design and experience the ride; then you might buy it.
Why are you so careful when you buy a car, yet you are so careless and thoughtless when you pick a God; most likely a God given to your by others.
Those among The Human who deny God, who say to themselves that God is a fable, that God is a myth; are they not more honest and centered than those of us who take God off the shelf, that has been created by societal mores and traditions?
The Human, our essential being, is the need to discover who we are and why we have been placed here. And because we have been blinded and because we truly don’t know; rather than resting in a place of emptiness and unknowing, we tell ourselves or let others tell us a story of God.
Oh how the Human loves to tell and hear stories that explain our being!
Does The Human forever have to walk the Way of unknowing on the path to God or are there ways to apprehend the One. The One is what your heart searches for even when you don’t know why.
But why do we search at all; from where does this memory of God arise. What if we lived free of the need of a God…If you are going to hide from us, we will hide from you!
Your eternal Mother dwells within you; it is your task to open the doors of her cell within your heart and to let her flow throughout your being. And as your inner being is illumined by your Mother, her light will allow you to see and know your God.
Genesis 3:8 —“And they heard the voice of the Lord God, walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.”
Genesis 4 — “Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. 6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” 8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”[d] While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”
So who is hiding from whom? We say that God is hiding, but how can that be so if he|she is our consciousness and the animating principle of our being contained within everything that surrounds us. God is walking among us; God is within us viewing the world with our eyes and through the eyes of the other Humans upon the earth. If this is true then God is immanent within us and surrounding us, yet we cannot experience it because it is us who hide!
The Human is the one who hides; we hide from God because we are into illicit pursuits which we want to hide from the One. You do, I am sure, understand how our selfishness and pursuit of evil build a high wall to hedge God in to a prison cell within us. You’ve been taught how this works, right?
God is with us in the garden, don’t you get it. God is fully immersed in us, yet we blind ourselves in order not to see, or depend upon others like blind men to tell us what we should see. We want the blessed assurance that we cannot muster within ourselves, so we chase after the spirituality of others rather than pursue God full on within ourselves.
Our beloved God, has given every Human the ability to find him|her; a unique path for us to follow in our pursuit of the One. We all individually get to pursue and find God without the need of a priest or a religion.
It takes more devotion, dedication, and hard work, but God wants you to pursue your very own way in your pursuit of him|her.
Start now!
In this moment ask God to reveal him|herself to you. Our God is gracious and kind, and he loves you as he|she is manifest within you. It is not God who is hiding, it is you!
We are muddy streams of water that needs to rest in quiet sunlit eddies within the One, in order to become as clarified beings. Stillness clarifies all. And when we clarify our being, the One, God emerges in the clarity of light.
This is not a treatise about why the Human should not believe in God; in fact it is just the opposite. Its a call to do the work to find the One who has always dwelled within you; the One whom you are at this very moment.
If you only could comprehend the intimacy and love of the One, as his rays of light shine upon you; yet you have become a black hole, by turning away, you subsume the light of God, and cannot perceive or reflect his|her brightness.
Let go of everything you are carrying and exchange it for the All. Enter into the flowing stream of God and allow him|her to carry you and imbue you with their character and being. Become One within the One who has always loved you. See with the Eye that is within you. Rest in Love.
If I could only represent the Love of God with words, the whole Earth would sing Amen.
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. 139
1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Father, Mother save us from those both humans and demons who hate and have always hated the Human. Be our staff and our strong right hand. Send your angels to stand guard around your children as we in awe do observe the mighty works of your hands. Amen.
