Sometime I feel like a “fireaholic”…every spiritual treatise that I read, leads me back to the Holy Fire. The Fire that is at the root of all religious traditions, and yet while being ubiquitous, is always hidden and veiled. I sometimes have attacks, attempts some force to prevent me from revealing certain things. The attacks were unrelenting as tried to transcribe these words. Why?
Of course, my obsession, is fueled by the stroll I took through Brahman’s flame, the night when I had quietly quipped to my beloved Father|Mother, that I would like to be given the gift of seeing His|Her form.
Most of us choose to keep the Holy Spirit yoked, so it won’t act out in us, we douse the flame and bank the coals, where they quietly burn out of mind and soul. We all need bread to survive! Yet Christ says that, “”I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” Yet is the bread the body of Christ or is it instead, his teachings that leads to the fire? I would argue that Christ’s words of truth are the bread.
Some of us live our lives pursuing the One Thing, full of power and light, that once you experience it, never allows you to depart from it. It is the jewel, the pearl, the Rosicrucian rose, and it is transformative spiritually, yet to those consumed by the passions of the world it is all foolishness.
Once you have tasted the sweetness of the elemental fire that underlays all things, the birthplace of all forms, The All, “The One Thing”, then you are compelled by the sweetness of the loving presence to transcend and to transform, into a new creature, totally subsumed by the flame of our Mother.
So the book that I swear is my last, “The Secret Fire, An Alchemical Study” written by E.J. Langford Garstin, again failed to unlock that secret key for which I search, yet it did illuminate this fire-quest I have been on for years now.
So the Secret Fire is the being of the Holy Spirit of Christ in the second Baptism. It is also the basis of the quest of the Theurgists.
“As rays of Light his Locks flow forth, stretching to the confines of space. The wholeness of the Sun is in the Supramundane Orders, for therein a Solar World and endless light subsist. And his disk is in the Starless, above the Inerratic Sphere, and he is the center of the Triple World.
“The Father hath hastily withdrawn Himself; but hath not shun is Fire, and the Dispenser of Fire, he is also the Channel of the Higher Fire.”
”Hidden and Manifested Fires of Simon Magus, mentioned in “The Great Announcement” where he says. ‘The hidden aspects of the Fire are concealed in the manifest, and the manifest produced the hidden…And the manifested side of the Fire has all things in itself which a man can perceive as visible, or which we ‘”Hidden and Manifested Fires of Simon Magus, mentioned in “The Great Announcement” where he says. ‘The hidden aspects of the Fire are concealed in the manifest, and the manifest produced the hidden…And the manifested side of the Fire has all things in itself which a man can perceive of things visible, or which he unconsciously fails to perceive; whereas the hidden side is everything which once can conceive as intelligible, or which a man fails to conceive.’ It is therefore called the Ever living or Holy Fire, and was taken to be both intelligible and immaterial as well as sensible and material, according to its plane of operation.”
Now my dog, under my desk, just switched off my power, after spending 30 minutes trying to transcribe one fuckin paragraph!
“The Father hath hastily withdrawn Himself; but hath not shut up His own Fire in His Intellectual Power. All things are sprung from that one Fire. For all things did the Father of all perfect, and delivered them over to the Second Mind, Whom all Races of Men call First. The Mind of the Father, riding subtle guiders, which glitter with the tracings of inflexible and relentless Fire. The Soul of All, being a brilliant Fire, by the power of the Father remained Immortal, and is Mistress of Life and fills up the many recesses of the Bosom of the World. The Channels being intermixed therein, She performed the Works of Incorruptible Fire.’ “

Also there is the Vision of the fire-flashing Course of Light, or also a child borne aloft on the shoulders of the celestial steed, fiery, or clothed with Gold, or naked, or shooting with the bow shafts of Light, and standing on the shoulders of the Horse. But if thy meditation prolongeth itself thou shalt unite all these Symbols in the form of the Lion.”
“In the above we make acquaintance with the supreme mystery of the Theurgist, his Formless Fire, which is the ultimate “secretum secretorum”, wherein is the Voice that is not a Voice, but is the very Word of the Self-transcending Self, whose Apocalyptic Image is Aries, the Lamb of God. Balancing this we have the other two signs of the fiery triplicity, Sagittarius and Leo. We learn more about this Theurgic Epopteia in what follows…
For thou must not behold it ere thy Soul be purged by Scared Rites. Since ever dragging the Soul and leading it from Sacred Things, from the confines of Matter arise the terrestrial dog-faced demons, never showing a true image unto mortal gaze.”
And now back to my travels…”So therefore, first the Priest who governeth the Works of Fire, must sprinkle with the Water of the loud-resounding Sea. And when, after all the Phantoms, thou shalt see that Holy and Formless Fire; that Fire that darts and flashes through the hidden depths of the Universe: Hear thou the Voice of Fire.”

Nor must soul be led away by the delusive and phantasmal appearances which beset it on its passage through the Astral World ‘wherein continually lies the faithless Depth, delighting in unintelligible Images.’ ”

The first course is sacred; but in the midst thereof another, the Third, Aerial, which cherishes Earth in Fire. And the Fountain of Fountains and of all Fountains. The Matrix containing all. Thence abundantly springs forth the Generation of Multifarious Matter.’ “
” ‘If thou extends the Fiery Mind to the work of Piety, thou wilt preserve the flexible body. (The flexible body flaming in the Akashic realm). The Telestic life, through the Divine Fire, removes all the stains, together with every foreign and irrational nature.’ “
‘But it signified the most acceptable sacrifice to the Superior Divinities is everywhere the human or material part of man; his desires, lusts passions and so forth. As it is written (Psalm 17) ‘The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart O God, thou wilt not despise.’ This is what Plotinus means (Ennead iii, 6, sect. 5) when he says: ‘To purify the soul is to isolate her, preventing her from attaching herself to other things…in raising her from the things her below to intelligible entities; also to wean her from the body; for in that case she is no long sufficiently attached to it to be enslaved to it, resembling a light which is not absorbed in the whirlwind (of matter).”
