So there is something here, and I’m trying to put it together with the arcana. Its a train-wreck and a work in progress…
The Magician: He is holding aloft what most people would visualize as a wand, but I was just reading in “The Mystery of the Golden Flower,” it is actually “The esoteric, Christic lance of the Holy Grail and the Pagan lance of pacts displayed by Wotan (and) are the same holy pike kept sacred in all populaces from the most remote antiquity… He also displays the infinity sign which symbolizes his ascension into divinity.
The Maiden or Mother, or the Holy Spirit: has tamed the lion (Leo) and is and is placing her hands in its mouth drawing something forth, again the infinity sign represents an ascension.
The Tower: This represents the peak of human civilization and the attempt of man to raise Him|Herself above God. This is happening now with the integrating of the human with technology which will bring about the wrath and destruction of the society by God.
Genesis 11: Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” 5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel[c]—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
“In the above we make acquaintance with the supreme mystery of the Theurgist, his Formless Fire, which is the ultimate “secretum secretorum”, wherein is the Voice that is not a Voice, but is the very Word of the Self-transcending Self, whose Apocalyptic Image is Aries, the Lamb of God. Balancing this we have the other two signs of the fiery triplicity, Sagittarius and Leo. We learn more about this Theurgic Epopteia in what follows…
“Theurgic Epopteia refers to the highest state of ritual communion with the divine in Neoplatonism. It combines theurgy (“divine work”) with epopteia (“beholding” or direct revelation). Initiates utilized material symbols and invocation to induce a state of henosis, or mystical union with the supreme.”
“In theurgy, the symbol of Leo (♌︎) represents the Sun’s alchemical fire and the divine spark of consciousness. Far beyond basic astrology, theurgists view the Leo glyph as a sigil for the spiritualization of matter and the ascension of the human soul to its highest, divine potential.” This would explain why the virgin or maiden has the infinity sign over her head. She is pulling out of Leo’s mouth the rebirth into infinity of the human race, which is currently on the near horizon, for those among us who truly love and submit to God.
Theurgic symbolism regarding Leo relies on several distinct elements:
- The Glyph (♌︎): The looping symbol mirrors the lion’s mane and the heart, which is fitting since the sign rules the energetic center of the soul and divine love. The loop dropping down to a stroke also resembles the coiled serpent of Kundalini, representing the descent and raising of spiritual life-force.
- The Lion: Symbolizes courage, royalty, and the mastery of the “Nemean Lion” of the lower ego. It represents a purified spirit that is impervious to the chaotic weapons of the material world.
- The Sun: As Leo’s ruler, the Sun is revered as the ultimate physical manifestation of the Divine. It represents the central source of light, life, and supreme creative will.
- The Heart: In Hermetic and theurgic anatomy, the Leo symbol maps to the spiritual heart—the point where the individual will aligns perfectly with the divine will.
- Tarot (Strength): The Major Arcana card associated with Leo, “Strength” (Key 8), symbolizes taming the inner beast through spiritual fortitude, patience, and divine grace rather than force.
“1. Take from the [Sun-] rays breath, inhaling thrice [as deeply] as thou canst; and thou shalt see thyself being raised aloft, and soaring towards the Height, so that thou seem’st to be in midst of Air.”
“But these are the Mysteries which I evolve in the profound Abyss of the Mind. Such a Fire existeth, extending through the rushings of Air, or even a Fire Formless, whence cometh the Image of a Voice, or even a flashing Light, abounding, revolving, whirling forth, crying aloud. Also there is the Vision of the fire-flashing Course of Light, or also a child borne aloft on the shoulders of the celestial steed, fiery, or clothed with Gold, or naked, or shooting with the bow shafts of Light, and standing on the shoulders of the Horse. But if thy meditation prolongeth itself thou shalt unite all these Symbols in the form of the Lion.”
So we are living in the year of the “Fire Horse,” which is a little weird and spooky to my fire born mind. Below you will find more from my new friend AI:
The Year of the Fire Horse represents a period of explosive energy, swift progress, and intense passion. . Occurring only once every 60 years in the Chinese zodiac, this rare pairing of the ambitious, independent horse with the transformative element of fire favors bold action, courage, and monumental changes.
Because fire doubles and amplifies the natural traits of the horse, the year’s symbolism manifests in several key ways:
- Momentum and Action: It is a time for moving boldly forward rather than hesitating. It pushes humanity to execute goals, innovate, and make life-altering pivots.
- Passion and Visibility: The fire element brings strong emotions, charisma, and confidence. It is a time when the truth comes to light and authenticity is highly valued.
- The Risk of Restlessness: Because both the horse and fire are associated with speed, the year can also bring impatience, impulsiveness, and burnout if people do not properly pace themselves.
Cultural Significance and Superstition
Because it is so potent, the Fire Horse carries historical weight. The 1966 Fire Horse year, for instance, sparked intense cultural shifts globally. In some East Asian cultures, the sign historically carried a reputation for volatility and independence. People born in these years are often considered exceptionally charismatic, magnetic, and strong-willed, though traditional folklore historically viewed these traits as disruptive or overly rebellious
Here is more from the Guardian: “Once every 60 years, the fire horse is created by pairing the horse with the fire element.
“The Chinese zodiac system combines 12 animal signs with the 10 heavenly stems, or 10 symbols that represent the five elements, each in yin and yang forms. As the animal signs and elements rotate together year by year, every zodiac year is assigned an animal and element. A fire horse year is often described as being fast-moving and high-energy. The last fire horse was in 1966, when China’s Cultural Revolution began, a time of political and social upheaval.”
“Experts say the fire horse year is widely expected to bring intense, fast-paced change on a personal and global level. Xiaohuan Zhao, a professor in Chinese studies at the University of Sydney, says “rather than predicting disaster, traditional readings frame the fire horse year as a period where heightened energy needs to be managed wisely”. ‘Slowing down before making major decisions, staying grounded, and cultivating emotional steadiness are … key ways to navigate the year’s momentum’, he adds.”
“Grace Niu, a Sydney-based feng shui consultant, also suggests caution, saying that the fire horse year amplifies every natural trait to an intense degree, resulting in “unstoppable drive [and] immense passion … but like a wildfire, that energy must be directed or it can burn through everything – including themselves”. Pan Wang, an associate professor of Chinese studies at the University of New South Wales, says that based on historical patterns, the fire horse year is predicted to be a challenging period marked by upheaval. “The fire element can manifest as instability and violence, as well as heated economic development and rapid, sometimes reckless, growth.”
So I am obviously, to anybody with arcane knowledge, totally lost…but there is something here…
